FREE WI-FI SERVICE FOR OVERSEAS TOURISTS

Great news for foreign tourists who are planning on travelling in Senboku City.

City of Senboku has begun offering 14 days of free Wi-Fi to foreign tourists.
Available at approximately 70 tourist facilities in Senboku City!

Free Wi-Fi are distributed at "Tazawako Tourist information Center (JR Tazawako Station)" and "Kakunodate Ekimae-Gura (at the front of JR Kakunodate Station)".

Free Wi-Fi is available at places where this sticker is displayed.

Sashimaki Mizubasho Festival 2017

The Sashimaki Mizubasho Festival is opening tomorrow until May 5.

Currently, some of Mizubasho (Japanese skunk cabbage) flowers here have just started to open. While the Mizubasho will be opening over the next week (reaching its best viewing time between mid April to late April according to our predictions).

Festival stalls are already set up and ready to serve Mizubasho-watchers.

DRIVE🚗-Take a route 46 in between Tazawako and Kakunodate station
(10mins from Tazawako, 20 min from Kakunodate)
BUS🚏-Take a local bus(Ugokotsu Bus) bound for Kakunodate (Kakunodate・Tazawako Line),
get off at Sashimaki-eki-mae bus stop, 15 min by walk, you will see Mizubasho.
JR TRAINS🚉- Take a local train (JR Tazawako Line) to Sashimaki station.
 *All "KOMACHI" trains do not make stop at Sashimaki Station on the Akita Shinkansen.

  • Single ride ticket must be used on the day of issue.
  • Each ride ticket is redeemable for 1use of the general lifts. However, taking Quad Lift requires two 1-ride tickets.
  • Passses for children not yet of school-age (Preschoolers) are free. These children, however, must have lift pass, please isue lift pass at the ticket counter.
  • Lift operation may be limited to all the lifts depending on competitions, races and race training.
  • Night skiing is not available.
